Welcome to DNG WH Giles

The oldest auctioneering firm in Kerry. We are based at 23 Denny Street, Tralee, County Kerry.

DNG WH Giles was a member of the Irish Auctioneers & Valuers since 1927 and is now a member of IPAV, SCSI & RICS.

  • Tralee is a busy town in the South West of Ireland with a population of around 30,000 and a large hinterland population offering many attractions for people to set up permanent homes. There are miles of sandy beaches within 10 minutes drive, acres of sandhills, many open spaces, parks, mountains and no traffic congestion. The town provides plenty of entertainment, clubs, educational facilities and churches. As Tralee is the capital town, it contains all the administrative centres and hospitals.
  • Kerry airport at Farranfore is only 15 minutes drive with daily flights to Stanstead and Dublin, also a very good train and bus service from Tralee covering the whole country. Tralee is a good centre for travelling to other parts of the county – Listowel on the North; Dingle on the West and Killorglin on the Ring of Kerry on the South. There is a sea port at Fenit only 7 miles from Tralee.

  • DNG WH Giles deal with a large variety of affordable homes. It is suggested that retired folk living in congested city areas, in properties worth millions, should consider moving to this area where detached homes in quiet suburbs, within easy access to all amenities can be purchased at a price range between €250,000 and €400,000.
  • This would give people more money to invest for their own comforts and perhaps offer some assistance to their children who may be endeavouring to set up homes in expensive areas.
